The Los Angeles Lakers team faced off against their new star player, Luka Doncic’s old team, the Dallas Mavericks. The two teams were pretty matched against each other, but the Lakers came out on top with a 107-99 score. But the two star players from the two teams had more than just the game they looked forward to. The two players, who have called each other brothers many times over, had a great time catching up with each other.

While it was the Lakers who took the win home, the two teams had a special day. Luka Doncic, a former Mavs player, came face to face against his old teammates for the first time. And seeing his old friends for the time on court was a pretty good feeling for the athlete. Speaking of this, Doncic said during a post game press meet:
“Kai is my hermano. We go way beyond basketball. It was great to see those guys.”
The players had a good time catching up, as the recent trade between the Lakers and the Mavs saw quite a few players from both teams switch places. So they all took some time to find out what was happening with their old teammates.
Kyrie Irving has high praise for Luka Doncic and his new team
Kyrie Irving was the highest scoring player of the game with 35 points in the bag. Until the last few minutes, both teams had a 91-91 scoreline. But the Lakers went on a winning run, with a 16-8 score in the end minutes. Both teams gave their best, but the day belonged to the Angelinos.
Irving spoke of the players, and their high caliber during his post match interview. He also praised Luka, talking about what it was like seeing him play but wearing different colors.
“It was fun. It was fun competing. Lot of high-level basketball players out there.”
